Amber Valley Dental Practice, Derbyshire

A contemporary transformation

Gloss Interiors were commissioned to transform and extend Amber Valley Dental Practice in Alfreton, Derbyshire, creating a welcoming, contemporary environment that balances modern design with everyday clinical functionality.

The project included the addition of a new surgery, a complete refurbishment of the reception and patient waiting areas, and a brand new TCO office. A calming palette of warm neutrals, natural wood finishes and subtle pops of rich colour creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, moving away from the traditional clinical feel of a dental practice.

The bespoke reception desk and integrated upholstered seating were carefully designed to make the most of the space, comfort and practicality. Contemporary lighting, illuminated wood panel detailing and statement branded walls reinforce the practice’s identity throughout the patient journey. A dedicated Invisalign promotional display was also incorporated, blending patient information and treatment marketing into the overall interior scheme. A key feature of the design was a hidden door into the new X-ray suite.

The result is a cohesive, design-led practice that combines style, function and brand identity, creating a better experience for both patients and staff.
