“We had the absolute pleasure of working with Gloss during a multi-year, large-scale interior design project which involved the restyling of every room, including bathrooms, in a substantial 1920’s house. The house was stripped back to brick and rafters and extensively extended meaning we had a blank canvas but with a commitment and desire to celebrate the heritage of the house and its unique features, while designing modern, light spaces for a busy family and plenty of opportunities for entertaining.

The challenge of balancing modern living while respecting and celebrating the heritage, presented a significant challenge which the Gloss team rose to with their blend of vision, fun, amazing design and eye for colour. Throughout the process, the team listened to our ideas and helped bring them to life, while gently encouraging us to explore new concepts, colours and space design, taking our vision forward and presenting us with a knock-out, high-quality finish. The little touches, styling and attention to detail, and fun in all the rooms meant that when we moved in, we could enjoy design, comfort and use the spaces as we had envisioned. They brought our dreams to life, and we are absolutely delighted with the final finish, the final design and our wonderful interior design. We have had nothing but wonderful compliments from friends and family.

I cannot speak more highly of the team, they made the whole creative process a pleasure. The build was sometimes stressful but the interior design was always fun, creative and professional. The Gloss team worked in sync with our project manager, our trades and suppliers. They ensured the communication was open and helpful, and supported the project to come in on time – going above and beyond in the final weeks.

“It was with great delight upon visiting Gloss Interiors one day, that I discovered they made curtains. This was the start of the refurbishment of my lounge. Karen and Keeley were so helpful and patient with me, nothing was too much trouble. I also had new cushions, a hearth rug, and they painted/upcycled some furniture of mine to match the scheme. They helped me choose the paint for the walls and organised the upholstery of a footstool too. I am so delighted with the room and would recommend them to anyone!”

We wanted to change how we use our dining room and snug space and make it more functional to use.

Commercial Interior Design – Fun, creative & bold!

 1. What was the project Gloss Interiors helped you with?

I was creating mmacaron, a new patisserie in Ashby. We had a totally blank canvas of a building to work with and I needed someone that could help me bring my vision to life.

2. What was the biggest obstacle/problem Gloss helped you overcome?

Gloss really challenged me to be bolder and different with some of the ideas they generated. They also brought a softer side to the scheme which worked perfectly for the project and the main clientele I was targeting.

3. What exceeded your expectations about the project Gloss supported you with?

The creativity of the team was excellent. I could literally give them any challenge and they’d come back with multiple suggestions really quickly.

4. What would be the main thing you recommend Gloss Interiors for?

Just the ease and cohesiveness of them as a team. They are great to work with and give you a very personalised service.  I also found their attention to detail matched mine – which is saying something!

5. How would you summarise working with gloss in 3 words?

Fun, creative, bold

6. How would you describe the way Gloss works on projects?

They have a very collaborative approach always seeking feedback on ideas and course correcting as needed.

7. What made you smile the most about the project?

The day I got the ideas and design brochure back from them – it was so in tune with what I was looking for. Oh and the toilet got the most feedback of all the design features – customers loved it!!

8. Is there anything you don’t think would have been possible without Gloss Interiors?

I think I would have missed a spark with the design of the patisserie- literally every customer that came commented on how nice it was – especially the toilet!!!

Such a great team and experience working with them. Ultimately, they delivered an exceptional design scheme that really enhanced the Mmacaron experience.
