We hosted our first ever Grand Illusions Vintage Chalk Paint course on Monday 5th June and it was fantastic! We were amazed and delighted that our first 2 dates were fully booked within a week of us advertising them!
We had a brilliant group of people for our first course, with a variety of skill levels. Everyone got on well and assured us they had a great time and learnt lots!
We covered as much as we could in a 3 hour window and introduced the group to the chalk paint we use; Grand Illusions, Vintage Paint. We got everyone to try painting, waxing, staining, varnishing and using shellac which is our pre-paint sealant. The group also got to try one colour and two colour aging distressing techniques, liming and much more!
We provided a picture frame so everyone got to have a play with the skills they had learnt at the end – the group finished up with some lovely results, which they got to take home.
